uyou folder not downloading and download button only showing webm format

Describe the bug

The uyou button to download videos is only showing webm format and when I click on download the folder says error code


I dont know if something in my uyou settings got messed up and I searched everywhere but could not find a solution

Steps to reproduce the issue

1. Download the video by uyou button
2. only webm format shows
3. when i click on the webm it says null in the folder

Crash log (if the app crashes)

❌ No, I can't reproduce this issue in the official YouTube from AppStore

and since it’s from the uYou Tweak, I cannot resolve this since it is close-sourced.

because previously i was on uyou 3.0.1
but I upgraded because my Youtube kept on crashing unless I turned off sponsorblock
and i deleted my old ipa

Ok I found a fix
I downgraded to version 19.08.2-3.0.3
And now I can download videos
Only problem is app will crash if you enable Return Youtube Dislikes

Ok I found a fix I downgraded to version 19.08.2-3.0.3 And now I can download videos Only problem is app will crash if you enable Return Youtube Dislikes

That’s because PoomSmart changed it to where RYD works only in 19.24.2+ but you can downgrade the submodule.

go to .gitmodules and go to Line 24 and replace branch uYouEnhanced with uYouEnhancedLegacy then it will reverse the changes to RYD once you update the Submodules and the problem will be resolved.

Another interesting thing I have found
I was trying Version 19.23.3-3.0.4
In it the download feature works and RYD crashes YouTube when you try to play a video at first but I disabled it killed YouTube then enabled it and killed YouTube again and then YouTube works fine
Interesting thing is the uYou speed control on the video player is somehow broken now
It doesn’t increase or decrease speed when you tap + or - sign
Manually changing it through the settings work tho

that’s because MiRO92’s uYou Speed Controls are broken. I don’t think they’re updated it for newer YouTube Versions. So it’s pretty much just not gonna work in the app. report it to here https://github.com/miro92/uyou-for-youtube

I actually found a fix for the webm bug my self so what I ended up doing was disabling uYou PIP and then restarting the app seems to work fine for me and haven’t had issues. ((Edit) I think this might be an issue with iPad OS or something because I haven’t heard of anyone using iOS having this issue)
