It would be great if the plugin provided extension-points to allow 3rd party 
plugins to parse and alter the text of the logfiles before they are appended to 
the viewer. One use case would be to create hyperlinks in the logviewer which 
open application-specific files referenced in logfiles.

I've attached a patch which demonstrates the idea. It's just quick hack and i'd 
need to re-iterate it if you like the idea. What do you think about it?

Hi,

i think it's a good idea for LogViewer. I changed a lot for next beta release 
0.9.9  (document parsing, performance optimization, new text viewer, filters 
etc.). I changed some interfaces and it must be stable for version 1.0 first.

I see a chance to add it for 1.0 with stable interfaces or later for 1.1.

i'd integrate the patch, but i'm not sure if i can send you something like a 
pull request like on github here on google code.

i've created a clone but i cant't send you the changes back. any ideas how to 
do this?

Sorry, very busy with other real-life-tasks ;)

So i've nearly finished the release 0.9.9 and will add your patch after this 
release planned at 03.06.2013.

I will inform you if there are problems during integration or ask you to 
integrate by yourself.
