When i am trying to run genshin, I get a pop up error code 'abnormal activity detected on your device operating environment, please restart your machine. error code 10351-4001' how do i fix it? If it matters I am using whisky to run it.

I encountered the same problem. The game version is 5.2 (International). I just upgraded my arch linux but I'm not sure whether it is related.

I tried this but it didn't work sadly, I also tried with -is_cloud 1 but same results

how did you open the enviroment window, because when i try to do it it just gives me 2 text boxes next to eachother

I think you opened "Game Environment" under "General", for the option above you have to go to "Enhancements" then "Environment"

I think you just need to append the command line argument -platform_type CLOUD_THIRD_PARTY_PC to the "Arguments" field. (Note that there's a space between them)

It works fine, thank you!

ok this is resolved,
just to clarify for anybody else with this issue,
what you need to do is
open whisky > click installed programs > then in genshin.exe add a argument under the locale config tab which states -platform_type CLOUD_THIRD_PARTY_PC > click run and your set! thank you to the people who helped fix this!

Happy to report this works on openSUSE Tumbleweed as well. Thanks for figuring out the issue!

Does it work in lutris too?

Does it work in lutris too?

I'm using Lutris and this works.

For Lutris, set it in Configure -> Game Options.(screenshot below)

Also, set the executable to genshinimpact.exe

Apparently more reliable solution: disconnect internet before launching the game, then reconnect it back after the game loads. This will prevent the game from querying the new security file, which appears to be the cause. In addition to that this workaround will also greatly reduce CPU usage.

Would be very grateful if you report whether it worked.

EDIT: It has been confirmed that this does not work. The cause of this behaviour is currently unknown, investigation continues.

more of a workaround , but i installed heroic game launcher (earlier was using lutris) and launched same exe genshin file ,and after adding -platform_type CLOUD_THIRD_PARTY_PC i so far had not received any error (for the context i had tried adding same arguement while launching the game via lutris and it did not helped me )

edit- out of curosity i tried same thing with steam, l(aunching exe via steam and adding the arguement) and it worked as well

Hi brothers, I hope I am in the correct repository. Been playing GI on my steamdeck and kept getting this error popping out. May I inquire how to resolve this. I am using An anime game.launcer. Obviousy, the resolution to add the text you mentioned above in Launcher option will not work (actually did not work, when I tried it).

Yeah, I figured it out yesterday only, and can confirm if the argument is added and target exe file is genshin impact itself rather than hoyoverse it works

Have you tried adding %command% before -platform_type CLOUD_THIRD_PARTY_PC?
