I don't buy this hysterical 'no sudo with npm install -g'. The OP is linking to one specific issue caused by a bug which was quickly fixed. In general, it works correctly, as per npm/npm#3139 (comment), |
Now I slightly begin to buy it ;-) BTW, this should be added to FAQ somewhere I think (the link to the article where they show how to set -g path to user-local one, or just take excerpt if it is short enough). |
