a question that model inputs need SNR

Hi, thanks for your works, I want to ask that if the model needs channel information like SNR, then how can we get SNR in wireless transmission? Is it hard? Because this work is called self-adaptive for different channels, I'm a little confused that if the model needs SNR information as a necessary input, is it really self-adaptive? SNR could be estimated at the receiver and fed back to the transmitter. This work is adaptive to the SNR, rather than self-adaptive. Hope for solving your questions!
