Code Blocks is no longer respecting bullets or list numbers

I have a working code sheet that uses bulleted lists. Previously, Code Blocks handled these just fine and the formatting was applied to the highlighted text just fine. Now, when I highlight text it removes the bullet and formats the whole line instead of just the text. If I add a random char in front of the text to be formatted it then works as normal.
