Clearly, it is halucinating. But the idea also seems great. Had that feature been avilable, this would be the perfect lightweight git plugin for vim. Has this already been considered? Any thoughts on feasibility?

I've thought about implementing git-blame in the past but since Fugitive does it, and git-messenger also does something similar, I didn't think gitgutter needed to.
