Probably you need to set an environment variable in bash in the script that
sit in /usr/local/sbin/
I am cc-ing Fabio from Brazil, I think he had the same issue once, but I forgot what the
patch was.

Maybe we can see if we can incude Fabio's patch upstream, so we don't have to remember
it. Or at least put it in the wiki.

Hello, We've just exported the LC_ALL variable in the script: In my case: export LC_ALL="pt_BR.UTF-8" |
Is there any way we can make the bash scripts respect the locale setting from
the server? I am asking you because I do not allow special characters in names here,
so I don't test this.
Otherwise we could put a locale selection in the installer or put it in the
wiki, but I rather avoid that (and have the scripts do it for us).
