Hey, yeah, they need Xwayland to run. You can try xwayland-satellite: https://github.com/YaLTeR/niri/wiki/Xwayland |

Thanks for the suggestions! I tried all the options listed on that page with varying success. xwayland-satellite looks great but did not accept tablet pen input. Using Xwayland I was able to get my drawing tablet to work, but the apps would not resize correctly. Aseprite would only take up 50% of the screen. I tried setting a rule
But that just resulted in most of the screen being black and the app would stick to the left at half width. Using Cage was the most practical and would have been the perfect solution if it wasn't for the pen not registering touch. But I think this is a know issue cage-kiosk/cage#126 Gamescope would not register any movement or touch from the pen. Oh well, I think this is probably not a Niri issue in any case. |

Running on Fedora 40 / niri 0.1.9 (v0.1.9-1-g6ee5b5a)
When I try to start Aseprite or Krita nothing happens. Looking at the journalctl log I see this for Aseprite
And for Krita
They do work under Gnome and hyprland so I'm thinking it relates to Niri - but I'm not sure.
Is it maybe related to Xwayland?
