This will take some careful consideration how to do this in our auto-checked notebook format. Maybe some of the tools have matured to allow this?

It's pretty easy to leave errors in and successfully build a static site around Jupyter, the harder part is just designing meaningful asynchronous materials and designing engagement and validation to have people explore and fix errors. I'm looking forward to giving it a try, these just might also be resources better fit on eg Unidata's eLearning site.
