Zep and the eyelink aren't alway a happy combination.

Sometimes after the driftcheck, the text doesn't appear. This is the issue we address in this issue.

The theory behind this is, that the eyelink must be in an appropriate state to do something and if it can't change state than it might be unable to driftcheck, start tracking.

It's very hard to update Zep in this respect as we don't have direct access to the zep code and Theo has no Eyelink, but we can change the zepscripts. So I would like to replace the drift check by the eyelink for a eyecatching stimulus that lures the gaze of the participant to the first word of the stimulus.
