Sometimes network restrictions can hinder the effective use of the TriliumNext Desktop app. Users may find themselves behind an HTTP proxy that restricts access to unknown domains, especially when instances are hosted on non-standard ports.
Adding SOCKS proxy support would be beneficial. Allowing users to specify the proxy using standardized schemes such as socks5:// or socks5h:// would enable connections to self-hosted instances via an SSH SOCKS proxy using the -D option.
At the moment, I use a SOCKS5 to proxy tunnel (pproxy) or I use the web version though foxyproxy (under socks).
Thank you for considering this request.
