error running prod environment

Hi,

First of all, thank you for do this project. It's a great tool to manage your odoo instances.

I was trying it in development and everything was fine. But when trying into production environment, I'm getting and error with odoo container. It keep restarting. I tried it on a clean doodba project with same result.

Looking into the log for odoo instance, seems that odoo binary is not found, but not sure how to resolve this.

I'm not an odoo or docker expert, but I think a clean instance with doodba image should run out of the box without error. So, maybe I'm missing something.
I just generate image with invoke img-build, run inverse proxy and then up docker compose with prod config.

Can you show us the build output of your docker image? It seems Odoo was not installed / linked to /usr/local/bin/odoo in your prod image. The prod image is build differently than the dev image.

I didn't know about that prod image is built differently. I supposed it only use different docker compose file.

I just used invoke img-build for build my image. Looking into the img-build task don't seems it receive any additional flag parameter for define a build env. Not sure wich command should I use for build prod image?

Hi @testpilot142 ,

I don't think you can use invoke on production env. Usually i use:

1. docker compose -f prod.yaml build
2. docker compose -f prod.yaml up -d

Thanks @andhit-r . It resolve the error. I got an error with db now .. a table that is missing. I'll try rebuilding db container. I'll open another discussion if get stuck. Thanks again.

sudo docker compose -f prod.yaml run --rm odoo odoo -i base --without-demo --stop-after-init
sudo docker compose -f prod.yaml up -d --force-recreate

those command will do the trick with DB
