Checklist

  • I am able to reproduce the bug with the latest version given here: CLICK THIS LINK.
  • I made sure that there are no existing issues - open or closed - which I could contribute my information to.
  • I have read the FAQ and my problem isn't listed.
  • I have taken the time to fill in all the required details. I understand that the bug report will be dismissed otherwise.
  • This issue contains only one bug.
  • I have read and understood the contribution guidelines.

Affected version

0.27.2

Steps to reproduce the bug

  1. Open NewPipe
  2. Navigate to "what's new" tab
  3. Update your feed, but make sure you're subscribed to hundreds of channels (in my case 420+)
  4. After updating your feed, prepare for a slap:
  5. YouTube stopped working on all of my devices on the network. Official App, NewPipe, Web version, all error out in their own way. NewPipe informs about reCAPTCHA challenge request, hitting solve button redirects to Google's page, error 405 can be observed - That’s an error. The request method GET is inappropriate for the URL /youtubei/v1/player. That’s all we know. Official YouTube app informs about server error 429. And Web version informs about invalid answer (russian: недопустимый ответ).
  6. Not sure if this ban is permanent, will write back tomorrow. But in all honesty I'm so tired of all the comment censorship, shadow banning, demonetization.. this just encourages me to switch to more open platforms. But be warned if you need YouTube for whatever reason.

Expected behavior

I expected feed to be updated without consequences

Actual behavior

Seems like YouTube blacklisted my IP

Duplicate of #11661

(Although the error code you received is 429, it gives exactly the same problem. I recommend going to the Issue I've marked above if you have new and relevant information.)
