Required packages binaries are:

  • fakeroot
  • dpkg-deb
  • rpmbuild

In Ubuntu/Debian, package to be installed is RPM.

In RedHat/CentOS dpkg-deb and fakeroot must be installed.

RedHat/CentOS also require rpm-build package
