Simple HOWTO available?

Hi!

I'd like to use this plugin. It seems to be exactly what I'm looking for since the e.g. KonniLogbook of OpenCPN feels totally bloated.

But how can I make entries such as "Main Sail up, Genoa up", or "Main sail 1st reef", or "Engine start/stop".
It seems to support it but I couldn't figure out how. I did install the signalk-sailsconfig plugin and added all may sails and available reefing states to its inventory.
