Hydrogen 2.0: Vanilla Extract compatibility?

Given that the current version of Hydrogen supports Vanilla Extract, and Hydrogen 2.0 will be built atop Remix, I'm wondering what the potential support plan looks like for Vanilla Extract in Remix. Is it possible that VE support will be added to Remix prior to the release of Hydrogen 2.0?
