How does this compare to the template generated from the hydrogen CLI?

I'm new to hydrogen/remix but spotted this code based on the server.ts setup (which this one looks like I can connect to a headless development store).

Is this repo out of date/deprecated vs the template? If not, what are the differences?

I'd like to make an informed decision as to which to use as a starter.
