#iOS Mobile Device Security Guideline
##Threat On the black market, working iOS exploits draw the largest payouts. It is not unheard of for a working exploit to fetch over five hundred thousand USD. Apple is also said to be scanning the app store for malicious apps and perform security reviews on them but there is no clear indication how much review is actually performed and how secure users are from rogue apps. More practically users also need to protect their device if it is lost, stolen, or from unwanted inspection by border officials or police officers.
##Tips
- Use a secure lock-screen password, if you use your fingerprint for everyday use you can set a much longer pass-phrase for use on reboot.
- Enable Find my phone and test it out with another apple device or online before you lose your phone
- Change the default Wireless Hotspot password
- Keep your device up to date
- Disable location services for all unnecessary applications
- Review each installed application's requested features and limit them as much as possible. They can always be re-enabled on demand.
- Enable auto-lock on a short time-out
- Do not Jailbreak any device you use regularly
- Do not backup sensitive data to the iCloud service. If you are unsure of this, completely disable iCloud.
