Deployed Taranis-NG straight from the Docker image and there are two icons for "Configuration" at the top menu bar. And even more strange, they lead to different pages. Please see screenshots.

That's intentional, caused by too many permissions for the default admin user.

Taranis NG has three distinct audiences using its features:

  • internal employees of an organisation (admins, analysts),
  • external people from friendly teams, via the sharing feature,
  • people from 3rd party organisations using only the "my assets" feature, not the bulk of the user interface.

The API calls and the GUI is intentionally separate, and usually, in a production setup, internal users and external users have different roles and only see one of the menus.

The system admin should only see the left menu, where they can configure the system. The organisational admin in the "my assets" part of the system should only see that right one instead.

Thanks. Let me suggest adding your explanation to the documentation and perhaps making the icons "System config" and "Org Config" or something similar making it easier to understand. The way it shows now, looks like an UI bug.
