É comum ser possível ver qual a versão da app instalada.
Pode ser usado o AppVersion do Ionic Native
https://ionicframework.com/docs/native/app-version/
e, por exemplo, no componente Sobre, usá-lo para fazer essa exibição.

PS: nem é uma issue, seria um enhancement mesmo.
