For today (06/26/2023):

• Updated FTIR SVGs
  • Reworked fixed and rotatable mirror tooltip image
  • Created tooltip images for both versions of the beamsplitter
  • Refined the JavaScript code that ties into the SVG for interactivity based on user parameters
• Updated tooltip text
• Updated README documents for the SVG repository

For 6/26/23:

• Refactored Style Sheets
  • If a react component needs specific style, it has its own dedicated sheet (ie save is no longer using the print style sheet)
    • the buttons now have their own style sheet (that style was duplicated in four places)
  • refactored duplicate class names
  • Set classnames that were only used once to id's instead
  • Next steps here is to make sure each sheet is well organized. Most should be, but I was doing triage today; there are definitely a few that need to be organized (ie grouping id's and classes)
• Unified the Fetch components
  • Fetch now builds the message body before the try for sending the message
    • this is because find peaks needs different parameters than generating spectra
  • In two places where errors are handled, I opted to return instead of using a try-catch. It was getting difficult to manage the logical flow of the code when I had to move the body message construction. It is still setting the store components appropriately
• Started implementing the new function Dr. Raston gave for Planck
  • looks like I am getting a divide by zero error. I'll look into this more tomorrow
