We want to make it easy for any contributor to run, debug, modify or add new tests. This requires good documentation.

Add docs/e2e.md with the following content:

How to run all tests locally
How to run specific test locally
How to run specific test steps locally (may not work yet)
How to run with real clusters
How to list available tests
How to build e2e executable
How to add a new test
How to add a new workload
How to add a new deployer
Internals

We have some outdated content in #1477
