I'm wondering what specific goals you have in mind on how to accomplish this issue? What do you see wrong with the current contribution guidelines that you would like to update?

Maybe it could address how to get involved, like search for easy pick issues or if they should submit an issue before making a PR? That's the only thing I really see missing.
