  1. Chain Signatures Live on Mainnet Chain Signatures, which enables NEAR accounts and contracts to sign transactions on any chain, has launched on mainnet! This technology is unlocking the world of Chain Abstraction, DeFi on Bitcoin, multichain swaps, and more.   2. Nearcore 2.0.0 The Nearcore 2.0.0 release looks to introduce protocol changes to introduce congestion control and stateless validation. Check out the full details and the voting dates in the release notes 👉 LINK

  3. Cargo NEAR adds SourceScan for Smart Contract Verification SourceScan, a tool for verifying that the deployment of a smart contract and its alleged source code match, has been added to Cargo NEAR making it easier to verify your smart contract. Check out the Cargo NEAR release notes 👉 LINK

  4. FASTNEAR adds RPC Endpoint for Testnet FASTNEAR has added a new RPC endpoint for testnet at https://test.rpc.fastnear.com. Check out other RPC providers in the docs 👉 LINK

  5. Send EVM Transactions through Bitte Wallet Bitte has put out documentation for using the Bitte Wallet with EVM applications. Interact with EVM apps with your NEAR wallet by adding a little bit of code 👉 LINK

  6. Tools Community Call #10 Announcement Double digits! The 10th Tools Community Call will be taking place at 5 PM UTC on the 13th of August. Add to your calendar 👉 LINK

  7. NEAR AI Hackathon Announcement NEAR HZN in partnership with BeWater has announced a NEAR AI hackathon taking place in Seoul on September 6-7 with $10,000 of bounties! 👉 LINK

  8. New Wallet Selector Release There has been a new release for the wallet-selector. Check out all the changes in the release notes 👉 LINK

  9. Use the CLI in Telegram Intear has released a telegram bot allowing you to use the NEAR Command Line from Telegram. A great way to interact with NEAR from your phone 👉 LINK

  10. near-ca Call for Feedback Mintbase is seeking developer feedback on its chain signatures library in preparation for its v1 release. Anything from documentation, naming conventions, missing features, project design, or architecture is within scope. They aim to make this an accessible tool for both frontend and backend developers.   11. New Lantstool Release Lantstool - a browser UI for interacting with the NEAR blockchain - has published a new release. Check out what's new in the release notes 👉 LINK

  12. Shared contract code A new issue has been opened in the NEPs repo discussing deploying contracts that are not tied to any specific account to save on storage costs. In the proposed solution contracts would burn tokens instead of locking them or storage 👉 LINK

  13. Why did Allstake choose to build on NEAR In their own words, "We picked NEAR because it was the only technology that would let us do this". Allstake is enabling cross-chain restaking, check it out 👉 LINK

  14. Indexing with SubQuery Did you know that SubQuery supports NEAR? If you're looking for an easy way to implement an indexer for your project with a free managed service plan check out SubQuery's NEAR quick start guide 👉 LINK

  15. How are Daily Active Users Tracked? Artemis posted a thread sharing that they have updated how they track Daily Active Users. They have moved from tracking "signers" to "from_address", since many accounts are using relayers to pay for gas 👉 LINK

  17. How do Cross-Chain Swaps Work? Omnilane, a protocol facilitating cross-chain swaps put out a tweet showing how they swap assets cross-chain using chain signatures 👉 LINK

Announcement of the [REDACTED] Hackathon Registration for the [REDACTED] hackathon, with over $500k+ in bounties and prizes, is open! The hackathon will kick off on September 5th and continue for 8 weeks until the IRL event in Bangkok, November 9-11 👉 LINK

New near-cli-rs release A new release for near-cli-rs adds backwards compatibility to run near-cli-js commands in near-cli-rs and a new TEACH-ME mode. Check out all the updates in the release notes 👉 LINK

near-api-js Call for Feedback The Public Goods team at Pagoda put out a statement explaining their plans for improving TypeScript/JavaScript packages that interact with NEAR. They are also asking for feedback on the current state of near-api-js. Check out the plans and give your valued feedback 👉 LINK

Omni Transaction Rust Library The Black Dragon is still at it. Illia has created a new library - to be used in Rust smart contracts - to build transactions for different chains to be signed by the MPC service. You can also earn Race of Sloths Points by contributing to it 👉 LINK
