I tried to sign up in canny, but I couldn't, so I decided to ask for it here. Flatpak is growing and a lot of people are choosing it, would be great to have OneFolder available there

Is it easy to do?

I don't have building apps my self, but it doesn't seem to be hard.

Publishing in flathub is another history, but this could be a start

This could be useful too.

It does look easy, but what is the difference? why not simply install it with the regular download?

Well, there are a few reasons, but I think being available on Flathub will give the app more exposure and accessibility. Technically, people choose Flatpak because it is new, easy, sandboxed, and receives a lot of support from foundations like Gnome or KDE. I have nothing against AppImage, but I understand that not everyone wants to use it and not everyone has the knowledge to build the app themselves.

Once we added to Flatbak would you be ok with testing it? I don't have a linux machine

Of course, I'd be happy to do it.
