Is it easy to do? |
I don't have building apps my self, but it doesn't seem to be hard. https://www.reddit.com/r/flatpak/comments/qk9fsv/can_appimage_be_convertedwrapped_into_a_flatpak/ https://docs.flatpak.org/en/latest/first-build.html# Publishing in flathub is another history, but this could be a start |
This could be useful too. |
It does look easy, but what is the difference? why not simply install it with the regular download? |
Well, there are a few reasons, but I think being available on Flathub will give the app more exposure and accessibility. Technically, people choose Flatpak because it is new, easy, sandboxed, and receives a lot of support from foundations like Gnome or KDE. I have nothing against AppImage, but I understand that not everyone wants to use it and not everyone has the knowledge to build the app themselves. |
Once we added to Flatbak would you be ok with testing it? I don't have a linux machine |
Of course, I'd be happy to do it. |
I''ll be happy to test it as well. |
I tried to sign up in canny, but I couldn't, so I decided to ask for it here. Flatpak is growing and a lot of people are choosing it, would be great to have OneFolder available there
