The quest for detection of the Nickel seed does not seem to register it exists. As soon as I crafted it on the Blood Altar using a Silver seed, it did not detect the Nickel seed in my inventory... Tried forcing it with the Manual Detect button, still nothing... It's possible the setting for the detection quest is not setup to allow for possible meta-data... Unsure if that is the problem or not... This was before analyzing the seed and tried afterwards as well, still no change in the quest book...
