Develop a long format workshop to teach in 2 days (max 3) the basics of bulk RNA-seq data analysis using data from recount3. This would build upon previous recount3-based Bioconductor workshops that are at most 90 min long. Those are not long enough to learn the proposed material. This course could also teach users how to use related Bioconductor packages such as SummarizedExperiment, ExploreModelMatrix, iSEE, among other ones. It should also cover how to integrate data from multiple studies, though batch correction methods can be limited in their applicability when there are no overlapping samples.
We might want to learn about the format used by https://carpentries.org/index.html for short courses prior to designing this short course / long workshop. The target audience would be users who have some basic familiarity with bulk RNA-seq data.
