A simple explanation for this discrepancy is that the x,y offsets were originally
given as the shift of the BCAL axis from the nominal beam axis at the geometric
midplane of the BCAL. If that were the case then the overlap problems disappear,
so I assume it is correct. The offsets x,y given here need to be the position of
BCAL origin in the LASS coordinate system. The BCAL origin, as documented in the
BarrelEMcal_HDDS.xml file, is the intersection of the BCAL symmetry axis with the
plane that defines the upstream end of the sensitive volume of the modules.
The shifted origin below translates the offset (0.1,-0.988) from the BCAL center
to the upstream end, respecting the orientation angles in the rot argument. -->
