This is mostly a post for me to keep track of my tasks and how I prioritize them. Not entirely sure this is the best place for that, but since Github so helpfully links issues I might as well...

So this is what I'm thinking about tackling next, in decreasing priority:

• Support PK3 files with a different, new extension (e.g. .ojk) #706 Add an OpenJK archive format; this is particularly important for compatibility reasons so we can intelligently decide whether a mod is supported or not
• Crash logging #141 Create crash dumps & set up a source server
• Serialization for Save games #739 Make save games cross-platform and cross-architecture
• Enforce SP ABI standard layout #754 Create a stable SP Mod ABI
• Check JK2SP still works #746 Verify JK2SP works correctly
• OpenJK Website #755 Create a nice OpenJK Website for Release 1.0
• Make installation easier by providing readme or installer #639 / Install guide #627 Make installation easier (related: Look into using CPack #600, Packaging for Linux #362)
• Initial Release? #186 Release 1.0
• Verify mod code compiles as C++
• Write a mod manager with an open distributed backend (akin to Linux packet managers)
• Clean up all the code. While this is pretty important, it's also a huge task without any immediate benefits. Includes/related: more safe file function wrappers #749, Endianess Functions use platform-dependent int-types #756, SP: remove qboolean = int define #753, VM_DllSyscall is hacky #719, SDL Asserts #715, Improve code documentation #650, Share more code between SP and MP. #611, Do Profiling #508, Unified SP and MP renderer modules #503, IPv6 / networking improvements / netcode unification #451, fs_game -> game_restart #384, Cmd system and cvar system aren't cleaned up on quit. #354, Restructure Renderer #323, Extract common files #313, unittests #312, Stop including windows.h blindly all over the place #277, Don't hardcode animation names #92
• Write a fast and clean OpenGL ES2 renderer with the same features as vanilla (related: Porting to other platforms #475)

Go ahead :) Pick an issue and just go with it. It might be worth mentioning in the relevant issue how you plan to tidy up the code in question before you get started to prevent cases where you've submitted a PR, only for us to say we don't like how it's been done!
