The Prebid Identity and Privacy PMC, has discussed and reviewed the MSPA, we have compiled the following feedback. We would very much like to begin a dialogue as to how we can address these points. Thanks in advance

  1. We believe calling it the ‘national privacy string’ is offensive to non-us persons.
  2. Please clarify in the spec the version starts with ‘2’ so they can be always differentiated from existing USP strings.
  3. The deletion api event from CCPA isn’t covered; is that deprecated, please state explicitly yes or no in the spec
  4. Generalize the “in or out” of scope signal
  • ex.UTAH, missing dash char, today we look for a “dash” to determine geographic scope.
  1. MSPA should not mandate that the browsers GPP signals override a CMP GPP signals

This feedback was compiled by member companies including but not limited to CafeMedia, Washington Post, Magnite.
