error message pops up when the game lags

Describe the bug
A clear and concise description of what the bug is.
When you play a card sometimes a pop-up appears, usually either "it is not your turn" or "this card isn't playable, are you sure you want to play it?"
Then there's about a 20% chance it will lead to an error screen.

To Reproduce
Steps to reproduce the behavior:

1. Start up a game
2. Try to play a playable card
3. Have the message that says this card isn't playable, are you sure you want to play it? pop up
4. click "cancel"
5. if the game lags for more than half a second, you've successfully reproduced the bug!
6. the error screen pops up

Expected behavior

The card plays successfully without the message or error.

it has just happened again. this time I was pre-playing a card, and when I started dragging the card it wasn't my turn yet, but it got to my turn by the time I dropped the card. This caused the warning message to pop up and the error message to appear again
