City Services Portal

The City Services Portal is a responsive web application built with React that allows citizens to report issues, access city services, and view real-time data on city operations.

Getting Started

To get a local copy of the project up and running, follow these steps.

Prerequisites

  • Node.js (v14 or higher)
  • npm (v6 or higher) or yarn (v1.22 or higher)

Installation

  1. Clone the repository:

    git clone https://github.com/your-username/city-services-portal.git
    cd city-services-portal
    
     Install dependencies:
    
     sh
    
    npm install
    # or
    yarn install
    
    Start the development server:
    
    sh
    
    npm start
    # or
    yarn start
    
    Open http://localhost:3000 to view it in the browser.
    

Available Scripts

In the project directory, you can run:

npm start: Runs the app in development mode.
npm run build: Builds the app for production.
npm test: Launches the test runner in interactive watch mode.
npm run eject: Ejects the Create React App configuration (not reversible).

Components HomePage.js

Displays the homepage with flip cards for services.
Includes sections for ongoing events and more city data.

ReportIssue.js

Allows citizens to file issues or raise complaints.
Stores submitted data in local storage.

CityServices.js

Lists various city services with dynamic content.

EmergencyServices.js

Provides information on emergency services including contact details.

Parks.js

Displays information about city parks and their features.

PublicTransport.js

Allows users to find buses and trains within a specific time range.
Displays available buses and trains with real-time status.

WasteManagement.js

Provides information about waste management services and schedules.

CityData.js

Displays real-time data on city operations and statistics.

Footer.js

Displays a fixed footer at the bottom of the page.

The following routes are available in the application:

/: Home page
/report-issues: Report issues or complaints
