Real-world Example Module 5 Spatial Geoprocessing

For Module 5: Spatial Geoprocessing we need an example scenario for a small analysis using spatial tools (for example, flood affected buildings) with a map.

Flood affected buildings is a good example I think.

E.g. with a task to estimate the number of buildings affected by a flood, given a building footprints layer and a flood extent layer.

Two more scenarios:

• summarising the population of places falling within the most severe part of a hurricane path, or the area of farmland in the same zone.
• counting the population in a town or region that are within 1km of a heaklth facility / more than 1km from a health facility
