Let the user specify after how many minutes or hours a recording should stop automatically.

If you know in advance how long you are going to speak, and don't want to have to unlock the phone to stop the recording.

It's not an essential feature of course, just an extra.

I think something like "shake to stop recording" is a less advanced alternative.
