when I try at the begging of my pattern drafting to make a line after I press enter is appearing a window that says QTextCursor::setPosition: Position '8' out of range
my current version is Seamly2d 2024.12.2.209 on macOS opperating system

Are you using the comma as a decimal point? Try set switching the setting, and the error might go away.

So its trying to place the cursor at the end of the line. If the count of the line characters is off by an extra character b/c of Unicode when the Seamly separator is out of sync with the locale numeric separator.

We should keep this as an issue to solve in the future.
