Distance estimate varies wildly with small deviation in camera angle

Adjusting for camera angle offset from vertical gives a more accurate distance.

Some options:

  • Ask mechanical to make a fixed case for the camera (still a problem if the robot itself tilts).
  • Hook it up to an accelerometer that can tell us the angle
  • Code smarter somehow. (Smoothing?)
    @totallyashes did you guys run into this problem last year?
