Desiree Bulger sent me a raster which looks like this (color for NoData): screen shot 2019-01-23 at 2 31 35 am

That causes all BTM tools to fail -- we should instead let the user know that the averaging operation failed to generate any valid outputs if the output raster is invalid (min and max are the bottom of the range or the NoData value).
