SwayNC doesn't work unless media player har started (MPRIS issue)

This is most likely some system setup error on my part, but I don't know where to start looking. When I start SwayNC, it doesn't work unless I start some media player (e.g. spotify). I can't open the notification center, and it doesn't show any notifications. The moment I play some audio it works. If I disable the MPRIS widget from the config, it also works. I am just not sure what I need to start at system startup to get it to work.

Can you post your config and logs by running G_MESSAGES_DEBUG=all swaync?

Took a while to get these (I end up forgetting 😅), but looking at the logs, the only thing that is out of place are these:
