I tried to compile OpenDoas on FreeBSD with persist support (./configure --with-timestamp), and I got this error.
./configure --with-timestamp
I understand that this is a Linux-only header and it doesn't exist on *BSD, but will persist ever be supported on FreeBSD?

Its not supported, it depends on linux procfs, not just the header. I don't use freebsd and won't able to implement it.
