Incompatibility with easydigitaldownloads.com

I loved the bbP-Messages plug-in.

But we just discovered that when we have both bbP-Messages activated, in addition to the EasyDigitalDownloads (EDD) plug-ins (which are a necessity on our site), then EDD starts to produce file not found errors, when users are presented with a secured download link.

I'm not sure what the incompatibility could be. They seem completely unrelated.

Any chance you could possibly look into a resolution and maybe create an update that fixed the incompatibility with EDD?
