The last time I sent a PR changing the README was one year ago tomorrow :-D Which is fine, projects come and go, no worries. But this project has such a high position in Google search results, that it might be nice to mark its status more clearly, one way or another. |

Author is unresponsive: DaGenix/rust-crypto#440 Advisory includes a large list of maintained "successor" crates: `rust-crypto` was a kitchen sink of functionality, so the advisory contains a list of potential successor crates each with an algorithm-by-algorithm breakdown of what they support.

There hasn't been a commit here in a couple years. It seems like the spiritual successor is https://github.com/RustCrypto.
