Sahyadri Open Source Community

Hello there. Congratulations on taking your first step towards Open-Source software development. You are a few steps away from being the coordinator for the Sahyadri Open-Source Community (SOSC), where we encourage young and aspiring minds to learn and be a part of the open-source community.

Let's know each other

This repository is dedicated to share your details as a SOSC coordinator to make sure you are ready to roll into the Open-source community. Check the end of this file for more learning materials regarding GIT and Github. Meanwhile, let's add your name into the list.

Step 1:

Fork this repository, and Clone the forked repo into your local machine. Find the sub-directory named as Members, add a new file into that subdirectory with Your name including the following details. file: your_name.md

Name: Your name
USN: Your USN / College ID
Year of study: ...
Branch: CSE/ISE/EC/ME
Github profile URL: https://github.com/USERNAME

Step 2:

Save the file, stage all changes and commit with an appropriate message. Read the following Article on writing effective commit messages. Push the local files into github.

Step 3:

Create a Pull Request to the main Repo from your repository, and wait for us to merge your details into this repository. Learn more about on how to create a Pull request in this Article
