GD32F130C6T6 Incorrect timing, delay off

I am using this library in PlatformIO and with my GD32F130C6T6 the timing is completely off for delay commands. Delay(1000) should be 1 second but I am getting delays longer than 1 second with Delay(100). I tried changing the clock speed, but I am newer to this MCU so Im not sure where to go next. This is for a project where I am writing new motor control software for single hoverboard ESC's so I need the timing to be accurate. Thanks!

Please share the platformio.ini, minimal test code and details of your board. What frequency is the crystal on the board?

Not a problem, you have been extremely helpful with this project. I just had a chance to try that code you have above with the SPL framework and it works, The buzzer outputs whenever the HallB (PA1) is HIGH and then shuts off when it isn't. Thats the behavior I wasn't able to achieve when using the core.

I also wanna add that I changed the delay to be 1ms from 100ms and it still works as expected. I can spin the wheel very fast by hand and it picks up all the state changes and outputs them to the buzzer. So the delay time doesn't seem to be an issue at all

I am testing with the code

so, just reflect the input state at PB11 back to PB12 with no pullups or something. When pulling PB11 low or high, PB12 follows respecitvely in my tests.

I did however identify an error with INPUT_PULLUP and INPUT_PULLDOWN not working correctly at all... there are re-mapping arrays for pin functions and different chip series have different APIs, and the F1x0-type was.. very wrong for these cases. I fixed that in CommunityGD32Cores/ArduinoCore-GD32@dee2bad.

Can you update again (pio platform update https://github.com/CommunityGD32Cores/platform-gd32.git or pio platform update gd32) and try the code above but with INPUT_PULLDOWN instead of INPUT and see if anything changed? If needed due to signal frequency, remove the delay() too.

Sweet! The INPUT_PULLUP and INPUT_PULLDOWN seem to be working now, and as expected. The pulldown does seem to pull the signal down but for my hall sensor application either work. I will say though just declaring it as INPUT seems to ground out the pin. It makes it so my hall output fails to pull it up above ground. Thank you very much for fixing this.

Open the folder C:\Users<user>.platformio (or your home folder on another OS), then go to packages\framework-arduinogd32\system\GD32F1x0_firmware\CMSIS\GD\GD32F1x0\Source\system_gd32f1x0.c and comment out line 48 and uncomment line 49, so that it tries __SYSTEM_CLOCK_72M_PLL_IRC8M_DIV2 instead
