SSM Key / remote start programming

Hey, I was thinking of installing a remote starter in my 2012 outback, and I wanted to use an oem module. The OEM module seems simple enough to install, the only concern is that the instructions (https://www.subaruonlineparts.com/docs/H011SAJ401.pdf) show that you need to reprogram all the keys using a SSM III device. Would I be able to do this with this software? I was looking at buying a VAG-COM KKL 409.1 which I've read is compatable.

Short answer: no, that's not possible. It also wouldn't work with a KKL-interface, 2012 models use CAN.

Sorry, no hope. It's not just a question of a testers capabilities. 2 security access pins are required for the procedure (for good reasons).

Do you have an example of a cable that would work with my car? I want to use freessm for some other features as well

With my car came a tag labelled security with a number on it, is that the security pin you are referring to?

Be aware that support for models > 2008 is incomplete. With my car came a tag labelled security with a number on it, is that the security pin you are referring to ? That's one of the pins. I don't want to go further into details.
