ClojureBridge Maringá, Paraná, Brazil(UPDATED) #70
Comments
@localhostpedro, could you include the end time as well as the start time? |
@davidchambers sure thing! But usually how long does the events last ? |
The main workshop day is typically seven or eight hours, with half this time spent teaching and learning Clojure basics and the other half spent creating wonderful things with Quil. The length of the workshop will depend on the number of attendees, the number of coaches, the amount of material you hope to cover, and the amount of time spent playing/creating with Quil (if you choose to use Quil, that is). |
@localhostpedro, have you decided what you would like to teach during the workshop and what you would like attendees to create? |
@davidchambers thank you for the contact. Yes, i'm working in translating part of the content, as you can check https://github.com/clojurebridgemaringa/Visao-Geral, setting up the environment , and starts with the basics like sintax and working on some exercises. |
The translation is a big undertaking, @localhostpedro. Having this material in Portuguese will benefit not just your workshop but future workshops held in Brazil and other Portuguese-speaking countries. 🇦🇴 🇧🇷 🇨🇻 🇬🇼 🇲🇿 🇵🇹 🇸🇹 🇹🇱 🇬🇶 |
Hello @davidchambers ! As you can see I created an Issue to make the translation public in clojure/clojure-site#234 We fixed our local internet issue, ping me anytime , I `ll answer quickly this time. Thank you for the support! |
Hello @davidchambers ! Our ClojureBridge is in the next week! Soon I `ll start sharing on Facebook! Wish me luck! Pedro |
I hope the workshop goes very well! I look forward to hearing about it as this will be the first half-day ClojureBridge workshop (as far as I'm aware). If you have any questions, I'll be happy to answer them via email, audio call, or video call. :) |
@localhostpedro, how was the workshop? I'd love to hear what went well and what you would do differently next time. |
Hello @davidchambers hope you are doing well!!! Actually it didn't happened because too few people came in and our lab wasn't available in the day , despite asking with some months before. Working on a new Workshop, probably for June |
Thanks for the update, Pedro. I'm sorry things didn't work out, but I'm pleased to hear that you'll try again. To avoid confusion let's close this issue; you can open a new issue once you have a new date. |
Worry not. There is still a lot of translation work to to in the material and I hope I can merge this translated material together with the oficial Clojure documentation at ClojureBridge/curriculum#210 Ping me anytime, I'll answer as fast as I can. |
