Hello

Thank you for installing AKSO. This innovative synthesizer is the work of hundreds of volunteers and thousands of hours of development. The AKSO music synthesizer is a fun, expressive instrument, which we hope will bring you hours, days, months, and even years of entertainment.

A synthesizer (or synth) is an electronic musical instrument that generates electric signals that are converted to sound through instrument amplifiers and loudspeakers or headphones. Synthesizers may either imitate traditional musical instruments like piano, Hammond organ, flute, vocals; natural sounds like ocean waves, etc.; or generate novel electronic timbres. They are often played with a musical keyboard, but they can be controlled via a variety of other input devices, including music sequencers, instrument controllers, fingerboards, guitar synthesizers, wind controllers, electronic drums, computers, tablets, and even smartphones.

Recommendations

AKSO works best on the latest Apple iPads, but typically experience performance issues on anything older than 3rd generation iPads.

Though you can play on the onscreen piano, AKSO performs best when used with an external controller such as the KORG microKEY Air (not an endorsement).
