If you do NOT have the file '/etc/php/7.3/mods-available/gd.ini' you need to download the latest PHP.

Is this on a local Website (on your Pi), or a remote Website?
If remote, ask whomever provides the service if they can enable the imagecreatefromjpeg function in PHP.

Not to be a smart alec, but how about googling "how to install imagecreatefromjpeg on Synology NAS" ? Or maybe upgrade PHP on it?

I also have a Synology NAS and am curious what you find. Mine has PHP 7.4 but I can install 8.2.
There is a "Contact Support" tab in the NAS Support Center. That could be another way.
