Feature Request. Define area as a polygon

I would like to be able to define a polygon as an area. Im an air traffic controller and it would be really cool to define an area that encompasses say the finals and if there are more then x number of planes in that area then i can infer we are in “north ops” or if the other final box is full we are south ops.
